Alerts

To configure your alerts it is important to keep in mind that your alerts will refer to an area, so we need to start from this point.

1st create an area - click here to learn how to perform this action. if you have not already done so.

2nd Associate equipment and/or the ATMOS weather forecast to this area - This action can be performed when you finish creating your area or by accessing the area editing screen. click here to access the article that will help you on this point.

With to these prerequisites ready, we will now access the alerts page and this can be done in two ways.

In the alerts page you will find a “+” symbol. Click on this button to start configuring a new alert

You will be redirected to the alerts activation page, from there, all instructions will be described on the screen. I will just make a few important comments before you proceed.

When selecting the variables to monitor with your alerts, you will be able to choose between telemetry and weather forecast (Atmos) data. The telemetry data refer to that observed by your automatic equipment that you have registered on the platform and the Weather forecast is related with the ATMOS product. Be aware that if you choose weather forecast you will be creating alerts for forecasted future events and if you choose for telemetry you will be creating alerts from observed data.

Your alert will only be activated if all established conditions are met. For example, if I create an alert with the following conditions:

Air Temperature less than 15 ºC and Air humidity greater than 80 %

The alert will only be activated when both conditions occurs, if it is 13 ºC, but with the humidity of 60 % it will not trigger .

Now to understand the usability and visualizations of alerts please refer to Alerts article.
